Delete your data

How to have Goosy Bear delete the personal data we hold about you — what to send, what happens next, and how long it takes.

1. The short version

Email goosy@goosybear.ai with the subject line "Data deletion request". We confirm within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. There is no form to fill in and no charge.

This link opens a message with the subject line already filled in:

2. Step by step

  1. Send an email to goosy@goosybear.ai.
  2. Use the exact subject line "Data deletion request" so it routes straight to the right place.
  3. Send it from the email address you used with us, if you still have access to it. That is the fastest way for us to confirm the request is yours. If you cannot, write from any address and tell us which address to look for.
  4. Tell us what you want deleted — say 'everything' if that is what you mean. If you only want to come off the mailing list and keep nothing else changed, say that instead and we will treat it as an unsubscribe.
  5. If you have connected third-party accounts to Goosy Bear — Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, or any other provider — say so, and name the accounts. We will remove the data obtained through each connection and disconnect it.
  6. Send it. You will get a confirmation from a human, not an autoresponder.

3. What happens next

  1. Within 5 business days we acknowledge your request and, if we need to, ask one question to confirm your identity — normally just confirming you control the address on file.
  2. Within 30 days of confirming it, we delete your personal data from our live systems: your Goosy Bear account and the content in it where you ask for that, your waitlist record and the campaign and consent details attached to it, any Goosy trial draft and the run-log entries for your trial turns, your record in our CRM and email system, and our email correspondence with you unless we are legally required to keep it.
  3. If you connected third-party accounts, we revoke our access to each and delete the data we obtained through it in the same pass.
  4. We email you to confirm it is done, and we say what — if anything — we kept and why.
  5. Backup snapshots that already contain the deleted record expire on their own within 35 days. They are not used to restore your data, and once they expire there is nothing left.

4. What we keep, and why

Deletion means deletion, with two narrow exceptions that exist to protect you or because the law requires them:

  • A suppression-list entry — your email address, flagged 'do not contact'. Keeping it is the only reliable way to guarantee we never email you again; deleting it would leave us able to re-add you from a future import. Tell us if you would rather we removed this too, and we will.
  • Records the law requires us to keep — for example tax and accounting records tied to a paid subscription, or anything tied to a live legal claim. We keep only what the law requires, for only as long as it requires, and we tell you if this applies to you.

Aggregate, non-identifying statistics — such as a count of page views — are not personal data and are not affected by a deletion request.

5. What this covers

This page covers the personal data Goosy Bear holds about you: your account and the content in it, your waitlist entry, any Goosy trial draft (the link you gave us, the brand profile drafted from it, and your answers) together with the run-log entries for your trial turns, our email correspondence with you, the analytics and error data tied to your browser, and the data obtained from any third-party account you connected. Our Privacy Policy at https://goosybear.ai/privacy is the full description of what we collect and why.

Deletion requests are handled by email. We do not operate a self-service deletion portal, and there is no other channel to use — an email with the subject line above is the whole mechanism.

To stop analytics and error data being collected in the first place, reject the analytics category on the cookie banner when this site asks. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is honored as a denial when you have not yet answered the banner. If you have already answered it, your explicit choice stands — clear this site's cookies and site data (both the cookie and the matching local-storage entry) and the banner will ask you again on your next visit.

5.1 Connected accounts

If you are a Goosy Bear customer, you do not need to email us to remove a connected account: disconnect the provider from the Connections page in the application, or revoke Goosy Bear's access from the provider's own settings. Either way, the connection's access tokens are deleted immediately and the data we obtained through that connection is deleted within 30 days — the same schedule our Privacy Policy commits to. Emailing us with the subject line above works too, and is the right path when you also want your wider records deleted.
